The HG-OM-T2 Micro T-2 pattern optic mount is designed to attach directly to the lower mounting block of our MMS handguard system utilizing the 4 provided screws. This optic mounting solution requires no modification and works with any optic utilizing the Micro T-2 footprint (Aimpoint, Primary Arms, Holosun, Vortex, SIG, etc). The Micro T-2 optic mount will co-witness with factory AKM pattern iron sights and does not inhibit the user from field-stripping their firearm once installed.
*The MMS Optic Mount is designed for a max rear sight block width of 0.89”, compatible with most kalashnikov pattern firearms. We recommend measuring your rear sight block prior to ordering.
Specifications:
*Not compatible with Yugo (Zastava) pattern firearms or any firearm using a hinged dust cover.
*Medium strength threadlocker and 20-25in/lb of torque recommended for installation.
*Micro T-2 pattern optics with base-mounted battery trays or optics with objective lens larger than 20MM may not co-witness with AKM pattern iron sights.
*A shorter rear sight leaf may be required on some firearms when using longer optics or accessories such as scope caps/kill flash.

This mount actually allows the dust cover and bolt carrier installation. Haven't had a chance to mount a T2 style red dot yet to check co-witness but the fact that the mount doesn't need to be removed just to field strip shows attention to detail and a quality product line.
