Manufacturing Perfection
Perhaps one of the finest products ever to come out of JMAC customs, this thing has everything an AK enthusiast could ever ask for. Let me preface this by stating that I am an NFA expert at the nation's top-selling suppressor dealer, and I know that AK's are not the most suppressor-friendly platform on the market. This product changed everything. As an owner of a Dead Air Wolfman, I knew I could suppress 7.62x39 with it, but nobody was making a product that would accommodate it. No muzzle devices, no direct-thread adapters, nothing. One day, while surfing JMAC like I have other times for parts, I found this X20 radial brake for my PSA AK103 and my PSA AK-P 7.62x39 guns, both in the AK-74 furniture style. I was ecstatic. I bought it immediately. I took it to the FFL I work for, and tested both items, and was blown away with how quiet the Wolfman in full-length was when shooting supersonic 123 grain ammo. Then I took it home, and shot it without hearing protection based on my experience on the indoor range with it. I do not recommend you try the same as an industry professional, as the result was not quite hearing safe, but it was the closest thing to it. I was not only impressed, I was dumbstruck by how quiet the shots were even out of a 9mm can. I was confident in using the JMAC product, because even though bore concentricity is an issue for AK-pattern rifles, the generous bore dimensions of 9mm for the muzzle device and suppressor meant I shouldn't have to worry about a baffle strike (just look at the internal design of the Dead Air Wolverine based on the Russian PBS-1 as evidence). Granted, PSA does a great job paying attention to details like that, and I did check alignment with a bore-rod. As a consumer in the suppressor world, I highly encourage all consumers in the suppressor market to do the same; take your AK AND suppressor to a reputable gunsmith who can do the same for you. That said, I am not only happy with my experience, JMAC has earned a lifelong customer in me. Quality machining, intuitive innovation, American-made. What more do you want? I liked the first one so much, I bought another a week later.
